M2 Unit 35

The nursery flyer was created using Publisher so that I could display dynamically placed text along with images. Light blue was used because it is bright and potentially represents positive emotions which intern helps to give people a positive perception of the nursery when reading the flyer. Images were used for the reason of adding more information about what the nursery is like and Publisher allowed that to be done effectively and easily with its simplistic yet dynamic image importing and adaption.

For the van design I used adobe illustrator as shown below, my reason for doing this is that illustrator allowed me to adapt the existing template for the van by adding block colour, text and images. I uploaded the final image in a PNG format as to retain the high quality that the original adobe illustrator file had. I used this shade of orange because it is bold and draws the viewer’s attention but at the same time is not unappealing to look at and gives the image a bright, positive feeling. There is a big use of text as to give important information such as the company name, slogan and contact details.

  1. WWW: You have made a good start to this merit task.
EBI: You justified the choice of tools, file format, image resolution and colour depth used when creating the images. In other words reason why those specific items were used.

  2. You have shown that you can justify the software, tools,
    file format, image resolution
    and colour depth used for
    creating graphic images. M2 achieved.
