D1 Unit 1

There are many safety issues when using blogs. One of the issues when blogging is that your account can be hacked into and some one may put information or say something you wouldn't put on it. A good way to avoid this is by setting up a good strong password that only you would know and no one could guess or easily figure out. To do this you could add numbers and even capitals somewhere in the password. Another problem is that people can email you with a virus which can cause problems for your computer. The best way to avoid this is to download a virus checker, which should be updated regularly, and regularly scan for viruses. Do not open emails of people you don't know. Also beware of some links as this may also have viruses.  You can also limit the people who can view your blog by only adding people you know and not because someone else knows them.

M1 Unit 1

Why a blogsite can be good for large audience communication

On blogsites, information like text, pictures, video and other media can be posted on a page which will contain all posts by an individual or group like a business if many individuals have log in details required to access the account.

People can follow certain blogs and get notified possibly via a news feed of posts from those blogs, this can make for important posts to become very widespread very fast. Being able to add authors and to limit who can see blogs or posts can be of great advantage, for example if an article needs to be reviewed before becoming public, setting can make it so that only certain individuals can see it, afterwards the settings can be reverted to having posts be public.
